THE PACCK LAUNCH EVENT

On April 17, 2008, over 150 guests celebrated the launch of the PACCK Foundation. PACCK welcomed representatives from the health, social service and nonprofit sectors, corporate representatives and caring members of the public.

PACCK was honored to celebrate this inaugural event with its special partner, National Service Dogs (NSD). NSD has provided over 100 Assistance Canines to children with Autism in Ontario.  Joining PACCK at the launch event were Maureen and Brodie. Brodie, now 16, was one of the first children in Canada to receive an Autism Assistance Canine. Maureen, Brodie’s Mother, spoke of the transformative impact that Shadow (Brodie’s service dog) has had on their family and on Brodie’s development. Brodie, who was non verbal up until the age of three, was the star of the evening. He shared a very personal and eloquent testimonial about the power of a service dog to change the life of a child with Autism.

The PACCK Foundation wants to extend a heartfelt thanks to all those people who helped make this evening possible. (See photos from the event below)
